Who slandered Roman? I dont see it. All I did was say you reminded me of him and that you come across the same way he does. No slander there.

I believe everything you do is thought out and calculated, even if it does make you look very unprofessional.

      .......

I think it was in very poor taste to put the names of companies on a commercial website as if these products were in some way inferior. Not to mention that such tactics are what lawyers make their livings at. You forgot to list Leo Fender for building pickups that can't be rewound, have you ever rewound an old telecaster neck pickup? They are warped, they fall apart frequently when you prep them for rewind and because they use thin forbon on the bottom they must be inferior? Where is it written that pickups must be designed bulletproof so they can be rewound? One of my best selling tele pickups is my Broadcaster, which is not a bulletproof design (Leo designed it I didn't) and no its not a good candidate for rewind, this is why no one of the big companies makes them the way they were made by Leo, because they are hard to make, they warp if you don't wind 'em right, but they sound like no other. So does that mean I am making "inferior" pickups? Are Barden pickups inferior because his design is not meant to be repaired? All of us here have pretty much way better guarantees than the big commercial pickup makers, I guarantee my pickups for life NO MATTER WHO OWNS THEM. The guarantee transfers if the pickup is sold. HOw many pickups have I had to repair that I made in five years? FOUR. One of those I ran into a guy selling one of my pickups on ebay that had an open coil, it was one of my customers who hadn't bothered to tell me there was a problem and I chewed him out for it. He sold the pickup and I repaired it for no charge for the buyer. Coils do die no matter who you are, it happens. Should I stop making the Broadcaster because it doesn't meet some criteria for bulletproof repairability? I can repair it, maybe you don't want to but I sure don't want my name put up on some hit list that maybe alot of people will see on somebody else's website. There are customers out there who have negative stories about most everyone's work or customer service including DM, but you just DON"T put this stuff on a website meant to make money for commercial purposes. If that stuff had stayed there I'm guessing there'd be phone calls from about 3 or 4 lawyers wanting to have a "conversation" with DM.

        correct, Dave
        bad move it t'was--

I'm sorry to have done it,, I'm glad it was not up long..

Bussiness is new to me this year , and mistakes will be made,,,

we all step on our own peckers sooner or later.. cause were all only human.. not perfect machines..

It's all off my site now,

and I'm also simply refusing rewinds... more less that what I started out to do that day when I posted the stupid mistake..

rewinds take longer to do, pup orders back up..
If I grab a calculator and read the bad news.. I loose $$$ and upset customers in the wait.

sorry to my friends, & those few people who actually really hate me,

          ....

yeah I just wanted to get that off my chest and you're right, rewinds are money losers, I've regretted everyone of them I've done, it takes forever to get all the old shit off them and clean them up just to rewind, its definitely alot easier to make a new pickup. The only rewinds I've benefitted from are "historic" pickups that are full of knowledge, I do those for free :-)

We have a saying here in the Philippines..." The biggest fish is caught through the mouth". Don is suggesting (admitting?) that being compared to him is slander!

I don't personally know you Don. You could be a nice guy and really meant no harm but please watch what you say before you open your mouth.

When I got the P-90 set from you, I went out and let every one I could play the guitar... it sounded killer.... every one was waiting to hear the over wound PAF set I ordered from you.... months ago.... I could have sold a bunch for you.....

And I still get comments on how good my guitar sounds... just can't point them your way.... but i don't say bad things about you either...
