ADSR of guitar picking techniques

Some people asked me to make a Experiment of the basic difference in behavior of the Adsr of different picking types
And thought it might interest you
If it interest you to have the recordings themselves
I want to emphasize that I tried to create an ideal control environment
And that the number of variables in the experiment is very small
(the same guitar,pickups,picks,Force,sound card(apogee duet 96kh,logic 8...)
i did each experiment more than 10 times
and the Results Are shown in relative scale
I repeated the experiment with different guitar and with only different pickups
the Amplitude changed significantly, but the time of the ADSR As a whole and from A to d to s and to r also not change (There were significant changes only in the amplitude of the Sustain freq)

The most important thing I've found for discussion of ADSR and Pickups its that there are no
(Might not be accurate and someone came to a different conclusion)
Differences in times between the components of the ADSR
The only difference is the overall amplitude and intensity of a specific frequency that the pickup emphasize

i had a second trial used all kinds of pickups(piazo,active,drum...) and the results were similar

Try using Spectrogram - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia instead of just plotting the waveforms. You'll see how the harmonics evolve in much more detail.

Be aware that ordinary videos of string instruments show distorted vibrating string shapes because the frame rate of standard video is too slow. It's the same effect as the wagon wheels rotating backwards in movie Westerns.

The true shapes are somewhat similar to that seen in the videos, but not correct unless the frame rate of the video camera is fast enough the each string is sampled five or ten times per cycle of the highest significant harmonic.
