Fender Jaguar Japan Pickup specs

Hi All

Does anyone know if the newer Fender Japan Jaguar pickups are a Matched RWRP pair. I've got one in for a rewind and the black earth wire seems to come out on the same side on both of the pups. I would have thought that if one was reverse wound the start lead would be on the opposite side. Any suggestions and or info on Jaguar pups gratefully received. (I have trawled the net but most info seems to be on vintage Jaguar pups)

That sounds like they are the same.
I always do the RWRP on SCs, unless I am told not to.

Hi Terry

I think so. I got one to swap the magnets with alnico 2 and suffering from a cold forgot to check the magnet polarity on the original, but apparently the Japanese made pups were not reversed. If anyone knows otherwise please let me know.

As you say they are not reversed and whatever you do to it will be an improvement.

I painted smiley faces on some and they were very much improved.
