  • Nordstand Pickup Cover

I recently came across a used (but very recent) norstrand J bass pickup, and it had a really nice cover on it. The edges on the top were nice and round, and had a really nice soft satin finish that marred fairly easily. The inside of the cover has a "U" marking. I believe it was originally blank (no pole screws) as the pole screw holes were lasered out. Anyone know where this cover comes from? I'd really like to use this cover on my OEM stuff

    Belwar,

You should probably just ask Carey directly. He hasn't been around here for a while. The "U" marking sounds familiar so that might be enough of a clue. If you want to check out the Hosco J shells I can send you a pair. They have a satin pebbled surface and rounded off corners. They are deeper than most at .90".

It's not from WSC? I know they use the Bart size covers from WSC.

Hey, if WSC is there, ask them why they don't reply to emails! I'm trying to buy some covers directly from them since the demise of GuitarJonesUSA.

The WSC covers I got from GJ were sharp on the top edges and had "WSC" stamped inside, I just looked at them this afternoon.
            Tell Carey I say hello.

Oh that's right... that's the Jazz covers I was using as well.
