How can I tell which pickup is for the bridge and which goes to the neck? I just purchased some used pickups that came from a Fender Showmaster. The person that sold them to me said that the pickup with the shorter leads is the bridge pickup. I just installed them into my guitar. If I touch the pickup poles with a small screw driver, the bridge pickup gives a bassier click and the neck pickup sounds more treble. What is a good way to tell which is which?

use an ohmeter to find the DC resistance readings. Usually the highest reading pickup goes in the bridge, though back in the 40s and 50s often the highest reading one went in the neck...

The bridge pickup probably sounds bassier with the screwdriver test because it has more windings on it, as it should. The ohm readings should confirm that.
