  • Are Standard Gibson HB covers Nickel Silver?

hi, Are Standard Gibson HB covers Nickel Silver? Such as this one: Gibson PU Cover Bridge Chrome - Thomann UK

Also, can there be had chromed (and for that matter nickel)HB covers that are not flashed copper before being coated at a good price? (They dont have to be excruciating exact vintage contours. As long as they fit decent.)

    thanks!!

Seymour Duncan sells some pretty good covers that replicate vintage hardware. Yes it's chrome plated nickle silver. Nickle alloy tends to contain some small amount of silver.
before plating w/ chrome, the metal can be plated with copper...then chromed. This is done to extend the life of chrome. Car bumpers may be made the same way.
However there are some Gibson covers from historical parts that are pretty good too.
Well not all HBs have the same string spacing on the pole pieces. Better measure the poles on center and order the correct cover. There is bridge spacing and neck spacing, and there is also trem bucker spacing, for models of SG.
