Quick Rough guide for number of turns per certain pickups

Is there a guide out there that has a rough starting place for # of winds for certain pickup styles.
Like the age old 5000 turns of 42awg per HB coil for a PAF.
10000 turns of 42awg for a classic p90.

Anything else, or is most of that info secret?

I'm just looking for a good starting point for different styles and then experimenting/tweaking from there.
