Looks like that forum died on it's ass. perhaps the moderator should have stopped removing posts faster than they were being started.

Yes it's alive and well but at the time I started this thread (06-27-2007) it seemed to be dying on it's ass. I was disappointed and wondered what was happening that's all.sigpic Dyed in the wool

Yeah I know, I have been checking it every day and very very little in the way of activity. WB posted a new video and a few other random posts here and there. Granted I don't go into the tech forums much because I dont own a LP anymore, not that I don't want to, just cant afford it at the moment.
I was interested in the Pickup winders auction thing but I emailed a few people and got told point blank not interested or just never got a reply back, Stan, Mick?????Hint hint.....So I guess that all fell apart as well, no mention of it has been made since the last post a week or so ago.......
I guess most of us pickup makers just weren't really welcomed there. Not meaning that in a bad way, just WB has I guess been there since the start and he is well liked and the rest of us are just newbies in their eyes, not sure why the chill over there towards all us pickup makers, well except for a very select few........

no disrespect...
no disrespect but the auction thing has no solid foundation or direction and I don't see it benefitting charity much at all, just selling a few pickups on Ebay. If you guys get it together and get ALOT of people involved instead of a tiny few winders doing all the work let me know. As you know I posted a much better idea that would have benefitted alot of homeless people but I don't think one single forum member even commented on that idea, bottom line is alot of "members" saying this is a great idea as long as they aren't personally involved and don't have to do any work. I have alot of serious health issues to deal with and am self employed so have precious little time to hand out. Get it together and get it going and I'll reconsider.http://www.SDpickups.com

It's a great thing for Will and he seems like a nice enough guy, but I wish the forum would branch out a little--not just relating to pickups, but general tech, luthery, etc also. It's as if no one else has anything valuable to contribute and it's very limiting.
It's nice that Possum and Spence still chime in once in a while. I always enjoy their posts.
