  • Kiddy Winds

I actually just started my boy on winding, and assembling. Its sooo cool to watch him....we played them today. They were boomy on the lowend, and the coil was a bit big in the middle, but he didn't break the wire! I was shocked as hell...anyone ever let the kiddys go at it?
Genuinely, I think he was tired of sitting afterwards.

Hell, I've got an army of Chinese kids locked in the workshop winding night and day. You need an army because their attention span's piss poor when they're hungry.

My youngest daughter started helping me with guitars when she was about 2 years old which is cool but she has no interest in pickups

          you're lucky....

my cat thinks anything involved with pickups is really boring......spinning bobbins, danging wires, hot soldering irons, you name it, he could care less....

Cool Nightwinder, I want to get my kids in on it as well. My 15 year old daughter is kind of yeah I guess I'll try it attitude, basically lazy as dirt. My 10 year old son is gung ho about it but I dont think he is quite ready for winding yet, he is a bit hyper and would probably not pay attention to the winding longer than about 10 seconds. The babies are 2 and love getting into my stuff but a bit young for the winding yet

Thats better than a cat that thinks of wire as a ball of yarn. I HAD a cat like that......For some reason, the flower bed is doing really good now...

caught my cat eating magnet wire. I threw some on the floor from a bad wind. Turn around a minute later and the cat is chomping down on it. Had to run over and pull it out of her mouth. man...that would of made for some good vet bills if she had swallowed it ....and i'm sure it wouldn't have been a pretty sight either when she had to take a dump.

No doubt you've heard the riff about the best coffee beans being the ones that have been through a bobcat? Maybe this is the secret to good tone.
