first question in forum is: How to make a Alumitone like pickup?

Hello you all, i discovered this forum searching for pickup makers and it seems big!
So for a wile im trying to build a alumitone like pickup, i know that it have a step transformer , well i imagine, and a low impedance winding.
Have anyone sucessfully done it yet? can you share your experiment ? what the best gauge and OHM to make the winding, and how to connect to the step transformer? also do you recommend a specific step transformer?
