Anyone made a lace alumina style pickup?

So it's a Aluminium section around a bar magnet. I presume if you do it around two magnets like a humbucker you get something similar. Anyone with any experience of making one of these?

The video is for advertising; it is a low impedance pickup with a transformer for stepping up the voltage. It is not fundamentally different; it is different in execution. Models they are currently selling have a frequency response similar to a standard humbucker, or few would buy them as humbucker replacements. See the adjacent discussion on low impedance pickups for more information. In other words, the video is truth challenged, as is all good advertizing.
