I got these prices from Diana at MWS back in august.
Don't know what they are charging now?

42 PE pricing is a 5 lb minimum $32.35/per lb
43 PE pricing is a 5 lb minimum $36.96/per lb
42 HF pricing is a 5 lb minimum $28.51/per lb
43 HF pricing is a 5 lb minimum $35.50/per lb
PRICING BASED ON COPPER BASE FOR THE DAY SO PRICING ABOVE IS FOR TODAY 8/11/14.

    **Edit
If you Buy Elektrisola PE, I'm of the understanding that all Elektrisola PE, goes through MWS.
The Exception to that is some High Volume pickup makers buy PE direct from Electrisola, but they can't advertise or resell it.
So that explains the high price of PE from other dealers.
If you want Elektrisola PE in smaller quantities, the cheapest place to buy it is from MWS.
That may also apply to Elektrisola HFV, I'm not sure.
This doesn't apply to Poly wire, Elektrisola sells lots of poly direct to many dealers.
The American Alloy PE wire is not that way, because they make their own PE wire.

I don't mind shipping a roll or two to David in Germany or a winder or two in Canada if necessary. I doubt that any of the winders in the states would take me up on a group buy since I'm guessing that the minimum from American Alloy will be low enough for individuals and that folks who need PE are already getting it from MWS and are happy with that.

I just placed an order with MWS but I am still looking for the AWC Wire because it is different.
For me 5 Spools AWC would be fine ......

Well we have a couple of weeks until the next run. I'm not going to go out of my way to advertise this opportunity but if anyone wants a spool they should let me know. If you want more info about this wire, the spool size and cost you should contact the company directly and report back.

When I get AWC wire I have to buy 200lbs at a time and usually it is only run every 12 months or so. I just took delivery of 200 lbs. of AWC PE.

Anyone interested in AWC wire should know that it tends to vary more in size from spool to spool and within the spool compared to Elektrisola wire from MWS. Some people find this frustrating and avoid AWC because of this variation. I personally like both MWS Elektrisola and AWC for what they have to offer. But if you want PE wire has the least variation spool to spool then Elektrisola is the best choice. I use both brands every day.
They don't make them like they used to... We do.

              Thanks Jon,

I don't imagine that we are going to hit a 200lb minimum with the folks around here. That would be 40 5lb spools which is probably more than I can be responsible for at $29 a pound.
That said, 4 spools should fit in a flat rate box to Europe at $77 for priority international post. That brings the per pound price up to $32.50 if i could get exactly 20 pounds in a box.

At 100lbs, one can get Elektrisola AWG 42 min-nom PE for just under $27/lb. Closer to $26/lb at 250lbs+. Shipping costs can be reduced by receiving the shipment as commercial/freight.

I just got another email from Teresa at American Wire.
Good news on the 42PE, the minimum order is only 20 lbs.
That should make a group buy much more affordable!

                        Sounds good!
If David can ship 4 spools in a USPS parcel I would be in for four five Pound spools! You can only win by.......

                          That seems reasonable. Anyone else?
Once we have a set number of pounds I can order it.
Or, if it's only David Barfuss I suppose he can order it and have it shipped to me so i can repackage and reship to him.

If someone Only wants a single roll stateside?
By the time you ship and reship, it would be cheaper to get a single roll from Diana at MWS.
                            Just a thought.

A bit suprised about no body jumpin in on that offer.
I will contact awc if they would like to go that road.
                                Thank you David.
