      I am not sure if this will work, but maybe using solder paste, as used on SMT lines may be an option. normally this paste is heated/reflowed using a fine hot air jet. obviously it maybe overkill to invest in a SMT workstation just to avoid using eyelets, but I guess it is one solution.

      I am also unsure if the temperature will get hot enough to melt insulation on the wire

        I use hemostats with the locking bits ground off for "threading" eyelets.
