  • Need ideas to repair this p'up

I've just got an old EMG 89, the one with the leads coming out of the base with no legs.

What do you suggest I'd tackle this "challenge"? I though about cutting a brass baseplate I have around and use it only the central strip, glueing it to the base.

Any other better idea? Thoughts? Comments? Jokes?

    I'm all ears!

    Yours very truly,

You might be able to turn it into a truly passive pickup by mounting drilling holes through each end like a bass pickup.

You could try gluing forbon, or even plastic on the bottom to avoid using metal.

Glue one of these to it or make something similar

Well, the only reason I didn't consider going down this road (pun intended) was paying 30+ bucks in postage to Italy for an $ 1.80 item. We europeans are so screwed when we need p'up parts it's not even funny...
