.195 Alnico 5 Rods in Tele Pickups?

Hello all!

To anyones knowledge, were .195 wide Alnico 5 rods ever used in Tele bridge pickups?
I understand the general consensus is that tele initially used .195-.197 Alnico 3 in the early Teles, and later started using Alnico 5, but I'm wondering if when they made the switch to Alnico 5, if they were .187 right off the bat.

Anyone have experience with the wider .195 in Alnico 5 and any tonal differences you can share between .195 and .187?

What bobbin heights did you use?

I don't know the vintage fender pickup answer.
I've used .195s in some of my pickups, and like them.
If you want to go a step further, Shea at MH has some .205" rods in stock.
I plan on trying some of those on my next magnet order.
Use what you like!
