Dimarzio?

Don't know about being a possible Dimarzio?
But, that looks a lot, and made a lot like some of the import stuff I',ve taken out and thrown in a box.
I have a small box full of similar made pickups.
I always replace them with A5, or A3 Rod Magnet Single Coils, Fender style.

Yeah and some are tapped (I think they were called TDS1 or STDS1 or something like that) are about 8~K with a tap at 3.5K, and they also (used to) have a 3/8" strip of copper around the bobbin perpendicular to the coil, AND ...they these had chrome covers!.
The magnets were actually 1/4" x 3/16" x 2.5"
Here's a pic of one of the remaining two I have in my "old stuff" drawer:
I bought them back in '79 or '80, they were Larry's single coil version of his Super Distortion pickup but IMHO, they didn't sound very good being a weird Strat/P90 hybrid. Again mine were the tapped ones and the tap was taken at 3K5, IIRC it was a real struggle to get a decent Strat tone out of them.
In the 2004 I found them (again) in my drawer and decided to rob the pickup covers off 'em and put them on a couple of my own Strat pickups I keep on a spare pickguard:
Seems like the TDS1 were "the only" chrome strat covers to be had until the china stuff came along.
(Kent, GFS, G&B etc)
I wish Larry would sell those covers again.
(BTW, they don't, I called)
