Burstbucker?

Hi all,
I recently had a request to make something like a burstbucker, which I understand to be a Gibson pickup wound with uneven coils. Any ideas how uneven? I have done this before, but want to nail the target tone on the first winding if possible. Thanks!

Which one?

Burstbucker 1, 2, 3, pro? They're all just variations on the original PAF. The Pro is wax potted.

Good question. He never said. It's going into a hollowbody, so I'd imagine the pro.

I measured each coil of a Burstbucker I had once and there was maybe 10 ohms difference (0.01k). Just putting your finger on one coil for a few seconds and not the other will change the DCR reading more than that.

So assuming this BB was typical, if you ask me, they're dead-on symmetrical as any matched coil bucker.
