Are there any regulars on this forum near to Philadelphia who could rewind one coil of a vintage zebra Gibson Dirty Fingers humbucker? I've been using this one for years and just recently one of the coils went open, after the guitar was left in a hot car for a couple of days. It had been recabled at some point with a 4-conductor+shield cable, and it was the cream coil that was open. I pulled the tape off and there was all sorts of gunk inside -- wax, possibly some silicone (?), and one of the lead wires had let go of the coil wire, and I can't even find the end.
I'd like to put this in the mail to someone relatively nearby and have this coil rewound or repaired. I work on amps but don't have the tooling to deal with a pickup.
