Possum, if you can strip the chrome by electrolysis then you can plate with your nickel plating kit.
I don't know anyone who carries nickel silver covers otherwise sorry.

I think possum is talking about the material not the plating.

I wonder if Wolfe or Jason have any, or have a line on some?

I have mine made for me and its such a big pain in the ass to have it done correctly (and I have to invest so much money so far ahead of time and often almost run out even though I order with 2 to 3 times as much lead time as its supposed to take) that I wont sell any.

I have WSC make those to my specs and I have to buy alot- a few months back- maybe 6 or so maybe even a year back there was a problem getting sheets of nickel silver and you guys probably noticed it- maybe not then but some time later

It is something I am really uptight about- If it wasnt so hard I would relax about selling some on occasion.
When I do sell parts its usually beacuse I no longer use them- its never bad or inferior stuff its just I dont mix different parts- I keep everything as consistant as possible.

If you made up a large enough order to sell, and still have enough for you, you'd make some of that money back!

I really wish some of us could wrangle control away from places like AllParts. I don't use most of the parts you guys do, but I hate the fact that these places don't hardly carry a lot of the parts out there from places like Gotoh that I might want (like bass bridges), and yet we can't get those parts either, because you have to go through someone like Allparts, who doesn't carry what you need. That was very circular!
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

thats just it- even when I order way more than I think I need way longer in advance than its suppose to take I still sometimes almost get caught without parts so I am not willing to do that.

I order from Gotoh/Hosco every 6 months or so. I've never seen pickup parts in the catalogue but if someone can track down part numbers I can ask what the minimum is.
Lots of times Allparts won't carry parts for good reason, some of those parts suck.

                      nickel silver...

Iwonder if there is a shortage over there again, AllParts and Guitar Jones are both out of bucker covers and Pat says he is having problems with the manufacturers....
