          I know a guy, been using them for years. Standard humbucker bars run me about $2 each... not exactly cheap, but they're damned good. He does a lot of stuff for Fender.

            I just got a quote from a local small shop guy. 80 rods, six feet long, EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. $3.20 each. Yield about 2500 keepers.
            I decided to put a CNC stepper motor on the mill instead, total cost about $20 to do that.
