Phasing problems (I think)

I wound a p bass and a dual coil, installed them and with both pickups blended the D and G string sound out of phase. P bass reverse wound with north pole under E&A and south under D&G. Dual coil not reverse wound with north towards the neck and south towards the bridge. Solo the pickups sound fine. What did I miss?

PS: I switched the dual coil out with another dual coil that is RWRP with the same results.

Can you flip one of the P pickups over so that they are all North or all South facing up? You can't mix and match split coils(P) with single/dual coils(HB).

It sounds to me like your P bass is not rwrp but only rp... Try to check if this is the case.

What is the electronics setup? Do you have two volumes?
