  • Sourcing Charlie Christian Blades?

I’ve done a bunch of searching and it seems these are available somewhere (or folks are milling and plating their own), but for the life of me I can’t find a source mentioned, or on google.

Where are folks getting their blades for Charlie Christian style pickups?

That’s what I was afraid of...
Not the buying flat stock and making my own... my concern is more the sourcing of 1-off plating services.

I make and plate my own CC blades, I don't think that you could find them off-the-shelf.

yep you cut them and polish them yourself then you plate it yourself- the electroless plating works well and is easy- Ive been plating CC blades for 20 or 25 years- thousands of them- and have never had a problem. https://www.caswellplating.com/elect...ting-kits.html
I use the electroless- dont know if the electro plating is better or faster or cheaper, never tried it, never saw a need to.

That is SUPER cool. No idea how I’ve never come across this electro-less plating! Amazingly useful as I have some ideas for an improved jazzmaster bridge I’ve wanted to mill and playing has always been a hang up there too!
            Thank you!
