So apparently the magnets were inserted flipped over when they were built?
Is there a problem with the pickups, they should still work the same?
You could always turn the magnets over if you want them like others?

No problem at all. I was just puzzled and curious to see the magnets installed differently from the majority of HB pickups. I'm pretty sure that they have been factory installed this way. I can't think of a rational reason someone would flip them on both pickups.

Interesting- the probes on all my meters are oriented.
Having found a number of gibby pickups with north on the adjustable side but all of them made somewhere around 73? The year they embossed gibson on the covers. I wonder if it was one or a few new employees that got thier specs mixed up, a possible explanation considering the narrow range of time and few examples ive seen. A rare anomaly
