Need a shop to do small parts plating.

The place I've used occasionally over the years to do plating has disappeared and the others I've found locally are prohibitively expensive. They're charging me motorcycle tailpipe prices to plate a pickup cover. Anyone out there have a shop they're using to plate small parts like pickup covers, polepieces, bridge saddles, etc?
I've looked into setting up my own little tank but I just don't have the space or volume to justify it. Jewelry places aren't set up to strip chrome, or at least the ones I've talked to aren't.
If you have a place or know of one where I can send a bag of stuff every once in a while and get plated and/or re-plated, nickel, chrome, gold, at reasonable prices, lemme know.

Idle thought:

Go to a motorcycle shop or other place that routinely gets stuff chromed and ask if they would toss your parts in with their next outgoing batch.

Yes, thay have a minimum fee which is proper for large car/cycle parts as you mentioned but nonsense for small jobs.

As an option, search for some supplier who can sell you some "electroless nickel" solution which you can use at home.

Invest once, itīs not cheap, put it in a well closed Tupperware type container, it holds for a long time until needed.

Only precautions: cleanliness and cleanliness.

Results can be very good.

Van Nuys plating in So Cal deals with a lot of guitar parts and has a pretty good track record as far as I know There's another place in the Bay area that does really nice 24kt gold if you ever need that.

Nosaj, most of those places are high tech, aerospace, etc. who don't do "decorative plating". The few locals I found who still do decorative plating were, as I mentioned, prohibitively expensive. The last quote I got for plating a single pickup cover was about 65 bucks. The quote before that was $75.
