Allparts isn't selling Toyo paper tape anymore. If you order it, they send you black crepe drafting tape. Called them and they said their buyer can't get it, some problems there. I've been using this tape for over 15 years and this is a shock. StewMac still has their Union tape, but it just doesn't look as authentic and only have it in quarter inch. Philadelphia got Toyo from Allparts, so they don't have it anymore either. Am looking for alternatives, though still have a small stash leftover I'll be using up. Contacted 3M probably 5 years ago and they are never going to make it again....

Have you looked at the black masking tape at Dick Blick's? it's thick and kind of shiny, nothing like what I think of as crepe tape. I have no idea if that's what's wanted. It comes in .725" width while their .468" black is much thinner and crepe like and the inner tube is marked "Acid free masking tape".

It`s exactly the same as the Toyo tape, I just can't for the life of me think of where I got it from ! Getting vintage I suppose.

Thanks! I found out StewMac carries this exact tape now. Allparts had 7mm and 6mm widths, I used 7mm quite often, StewMac just has half inch and 6mm. Half inch is too wide. Least I found something that works. Thanks.http://www.SDpickups.com
