Just use this. It's quiet and high gain, and you can DC couple it to the pickup.

Ok i made a new bobbin and got it wounded. Well i haven't put it in wax yet but it is working. As one of you suggested tapping with nails. It is working. But tell which wire is hot and which is other one. Does it matter if i connected them vice versa.

Also there is steel, chrome or brass plate under the bobbin. Can i use alumunium instead of these material. Two wire are from coil and the third one is from the metal plate at bottom of bobbin. The real gibson p90/p94 have 4 wires, which is 4th one.

Usually the start of the wind is the black wire and the end is the hot.

I suggest Nickel silver baseplates, brass if nothing else, steel I'm not sure about and Aluminum NO WAY!!!!!!

The P94 I think is the stacked humbucker P90 so thats why the 4 wires. On my P90's I run 1 wire from the hot lead out, the other I ground to the baseplate and run out. Normally with a Braided Gibson type wire.....

Is that a replacement for the P-100? My friend has one of those, but has never used it.

no exactly. I am making it for my self build guitar.

So please tell me how should it be wired. If I only use one pickup(this one).

OK how i decide can which wire hot and ground.

The P-94 is a stacked pickup, it has two coils. For a single coil pickup, it doesn't matter which is ground, but often you use the start as ground.

For a stacked pickup, you will know because one way will hum, and the other wont. Stacked pickups are tricky, they sound thin and have lower output.

Two wires. Either one can be ground.

                      hey guyz!!

OK. here's is second pickup. I'll mention the apparent glitches, but i dunno if they matter or not.

                      firstly,
my winding wasn't too good (9300 turns of 41 gauge wire). There was a break once, I solded the wire and spayed lacker. It was a bit loose towards the end.

                      secondly,
                      I used 2 magnets are .6 cm x 6 cm x .3 cm. I don't know what type it is. May be ceramic(by appearance).

                      thirdly,
                      I didn't used a metal base plate.

I directly this to the connected this thing to the input jack.

I am getting some sort of an output... but definitely not a musical one.... its like saws on metal .... a weird buzzing to be more accurate.....

I also connected this pickup to my PC, to check the input level. When i tap my PC casing. I get a sound. It is amplifying it and very clearly. Just like a drum

its a pretty mean mess-up.... i feel pretty royally fudged! what should i do !!
