  • Measuring DC resistance while winding

The first winder I am using does not have a counter. I need to measure resistance while I am winding the pickup.

Do I sand off a patch of insulator to take a reading? How do I patch it? Will something like clear acrylic nail polish work?

      Clear nail polish works fine.

You need to set up a counter, unless you just plan to wind one or two pickups here/there. It's pretty easy. You should be able to get ideas by searching the forum here.
