Potting Question
08-20-2006, 02:49 AM
How do you guys keep the edges of the cloth humbucker tape from unraveling while potting??? I seem to always have little threads hanging everywhere!
Thanks,
Stan

Um, you put the tape on AFTER the potting, I think.

Generally I don't have this problem but it's not unknown. You can do what Fralin does. he wraps an elastic band around the ribbon to keep it in place.

Pot first, wrap with tape, then dunk again just long enough to cover the tape.
A couple of seconds will do nicely if the pup is still warm.
