How do you check the magnets quality.(alnico V)

I think you start by buying from a trusted source. You can always measure them with gauss meter for full charge and determine how consistent the results are. If you are serious, you will just build a series of identical coils and try different magnet sources until you find the source that gives that coil the best sound.

Tanx Dave,i´m buying it here in Brazil .The source are local.What should be the tolerance accepted from source to source?I think most of magnets come from China .
