bucker mags slightly higher than .125....

Does anyone else have mags that are slightly higher than .125. I have some A5s that i purchased which are a little bit higher, making both bobbins tilt to the outside which creates a slight gap between the bobbins. It seems, in order to correct it, i will have to custom craft wooden spacers to boost the height on both sides. My other mags don't have this problem.....

have you noticed this problem, if so, what are you doing to correct it?

are you leaving the gap and not worrying about it?

yes I know the problem.First I wondeedr about the gap between the bobbins and then I saw them hanging down on the side.
I use two spacers and put a tape unter them to make them fit the height of the magnet.

Just rewound some 1963 Gibson Patent number humbuckers with that very problem. These have short A5 magnets that haven't been machined flat on one side and thus have a very heavy sand impression on one side.

Its REAL common in vintage bar magnets to be thicker, in fact I ordered a bunch just that way. Very common to find them at .133" even up to .140" thick. Check some of the hobby stores for maple in 1/8" thick as some of it is thicker than that, I know Wade sent me some samples that looked like they were from hobby places, small pieces supposedly 1/8" but noticeably fatter...
