I was going say smooth highs, but under the limitations I purport to suppose that's a lot to ask.
Combine that with...I have a winder or two to try out for the first time, and fodder selections consisting two sets of re-issue HB types, pulled and chucked in a box for being less interesting.
Maybe thwart me altogether and start me on P-90's using all good stuff ?
Or tell me it's a good idea to practice and these HB's may or may not be good fodder for a winder student.
I didn't see a lot in the FAQ for a guy with a '20+ silly' questions.
Like:
What makes a RI pickup be smooth with lack of HF's, could finer winding and fewer winds bring the voice to higher freq-tone ?
Or is there more to it like magnet type and...
