Stewmac appears to be out at the moment. Who else sells the good paper tape for coils, good defined as tape that will actually stick to the coil wire (or anything else) and NOT that tape, usually wound on much larger cardboard coils, that is little more than black paper because it doesn't stick to anything.

I've had good luck with the black paper tape from mojotone recently. -

I use Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) brand. It works the best for me. Aside from scoring occasional rolls of NOS 3M.
I usually buy them at filmtools, but I see they are out of 1/2". They have 1/4" in.
