    Haven't posted for a little while, but here's the latest off the bench:

    These are all wound with 42awg, with steel keepers, 1/4-20 set screws for poles, ceramic C8 magnets, and brass baseplate.

    Wired for separate outputs, like a modern Wal pickup.

    Looks great .

    Just a note: The heavy brass baseplate is likely to cause significant Eddy losses. So if you like more treble you should replace it by some less conductive material.

      And yeah, in this case, with this design, I purposely wanted to thicken/darken the tone. These multicoils can be pretty flat and anemic without some steel or other conductive material in the mix. But I've got these things punching like Tyson now :-)

        Since the coils are so small, the eddy currents can probably be mostly eliminated by putting a cut in the brass extending from the center of the coils to outside of the base plate. That should break the continuity where most of the eddy currents would occur. That would involve only eight small cuts per pickup.
