Hello,
I recently asked a local guitar repair shop to check and possibly fix my beloved Yamaha TRB6P bass (I own it since 1992). The bridge pickup is defect.
The shop returned the bass. But the pickup is still defect. They only removed the silicone and told me they could not repair it and I should instead buy a pair of new Bartolini.
I would very much like to bring the bass back to the original condition, as much as possible. You'll find attached a couple of pictures of the bridge pickup as-is. (Neck pickup has a DC resistance of 3.925k)
I have very little experience about pickup winding (did only wind very basic pickups for a Fender Rhodes repair and one P-bass pickup for a DIY bass).
Any recommendations and hints on how to tackle this?
Thank you!
Loris
