On Parts, I emailed Tom at Mojo, about some additional items we could use.
I asked about Laser Cut J Bass Split Pickup Flat work.
He said as soon as they had it all perfected, it would be available.
Tom said it would be available in 4 string, and 5 string models.
I also asked about Possibly making some Laser Cut Flatwork for the Charlie Christian P/U.
No answer back on that one, at this time.

    ** Also on Parts,
The Red 42 SPN should be available at Remington Industries on 8/2/12
They ordered 500 lbs of it on 7 lb 5 inch spools, per Winders Request!
It will be sold on the Remington site, and on Ebay!

      tonequester here.

greetings big-teee. it sounds like you are keeping the parts guys "on the Ball". I am still looking forward to giving this a try. I decided that I'm only going to re-place the neck and bridge pick-ups on my "sow's ear to silk purse" Kramer project. I'm still going to change the mid pick-up, but I'm going to wait until I can "wind one". I also realized that in changing
pick-ups, I'm going to have 3 "chinese' pick-ups with really nothing to use them for, so I'm thinking that I might "dis-assemble" one as I've never seen a pick-up "down to the core".
Actually, they are not really all that bad. I have the feeling that no two are anywhere close in their construction or specs. that might account for the tonal variety they seem to have.

One is north up, the other is south up.
You pass your magnet over the two, a couple of times.
One is trying to charge the other is trying to discharge.
Turn the magnet over and pass them over again a couple of times.
You end up with a alnico that is near flat.
I do that with rod magnets before I seat them.
That way they don't try to stick to everything.
Just another option for winders, if you want a discharged magnet.
          Good Luck,
          Terry

I put a couple of 2" neo bars in the vice, one facing N in, the other S in. I open the vice so the mags are roughly 3" apart ( you need to adjust accordingly ) Then pass the magnet through the middle between the two noes facing the S pole of the mag I want to discharge towards the inner S pole of the Neo. You can totally discharge them in one pass once you get the gap sorted. Whatever rows your oar
