Here is a photo of what I am working on for a personal project. It was to be finished earlier this year but other project took priority. I made them like this to achieve the coil geometry I was after. The neck(s) come in at 2.9k each which ends up being exactly what I wanted them to be combined at 5.8k. Because the covers were a little on the deep side making them this way worked out well. (Thanks to fellow forum member for helping me with the covers BTW)

These are going into the body shown. It's a 25.5: scale btw, and getting this neck.

      All real sharp.
If you are routing the guitar?
What about turning the pickups around put the 3 lower strings pickup below toward the bridge and the high strings higher toward the neck?
That would make the bridge pickup less trebbly, more Jimi Style!

Actually Paul Rhoney of Paul Rhoney Guitars is making the body for me. We have know each other for quite some time and have collaborated on several projects. Hopefully we will have something very cool to show everyone soon. He does great work!

The neck is a Warmoth fatback that is for a twelve string obviously but I had them not put the tuner holes in. It was finished by a local guy whom I also work with.

I considered the different pickup angles and decided to just mirror the twelve string and Maverick/Custom guitar. It's mish mash of a few different things. I could have gone swimming pool routing but I don't always like the way that sounds. I find it gives a bit of a hollow sound without the pickguard being completely supported although in this case it would not have mattered much since the pickups will be mounted to the body. It should look a little cleaner that way.

Cool! Now that is unique. Can we have a photo of the whole instrument?

                      - - - - - -

As far as logo/advertising, I think anyone who observes this site knows they could order pickups from Terry (big teee), Possum, copperheadroads, David Schwab, jason lollar or any of the other p/u making correspondents. I think it's terrific to have a place to discuss, swap ideas, & "show off the goods," as long as the salesmanship isn't overbearing. I don't make policy here, neither do I make pickups but I do enjoy reading about them and occasionally commenting. And I also don't mind seeing logos whether associated with pickups, amps, guitars or other items, because they are another aspect of creativity that we can appreciate.

                      Welcome aboard DEmelyanov!
This isn't the future I signed up for.
