  • How to build a wire guide?

It would help me very much if someone could tell me what the two spacer parts are called. How far apart do I space them? I know it has to be less then the width of the bobbin, but by how much? And is there a method for lining them up other than trial and error? Thank you.

Most, just use 2 set screw collars on a smooth rod.

I have a homemade wire guide that is bracket that I put a shoulder bolt through.
I put a steel tubular sleeve on the sholder bolt.
I run the wire under the tubular sleeve, (wire roller).
I have one of these roller sleeves cut for each width of pickup I make.
The roller has preset edge stops, on the roller.
You want the wire guide just a bit narrower than the bobbin.
The width is a trial and error thing.
