I'll try to come up with brass shim stock.
Sounds like it would have several uses.

Here's a couple of snap-shots of the bridge pickup.
      It's not been tested yet.
I will let you know how it sounds later.
This is a fairly low wound tele bridge bucker, and my first blade for a Tele.
Hopefully it will be twangy like a regular Tele Pickup, but with no hum.
A neck Blade pickup is next on the List!
I grounded the blades, I will use an external ground for the bridge and string grounds, that's why no shielding or baseplate.
I hooked it up to the test jack and plugged into the Marshall clone, and it is pretty well dead Quiet!

The problem with the MT Tele blade bobbins is they're too short to cover both E strings once mounted because of the angle of the Tele bridge plate. Take a look at any of the big name Tele blade pickups and you'll see that the blades are either staggered, longer, or both longer and staggered.

For the bridge plate ground you can use a piece of 18 gauge wire, strip about 1 1/4" of the insulation off, fan the wire out just a little and screw the bridge plate right down on the bare wire. Not as nice or fancy as the brass shim stock but I've seen it many times and it works just fine.

I figured that would be and issue, and I notice the Bardens are staggered.
          How did you overcome that?
I haven't put them in a guitar yet, so I don't know how much to short they are going to be.
          Welcome back Rob.

I didn't. Other than finding longer bobbins, making them yourself, modifying the MT bobbins or having them custom made I doubt there's anything that can be done as there was certainly a noticeable drop in volume on the high E.

The small oval blade bobbins might work as you can stagger them a bit. Haven't have time to try them yet though.

Still working on my set, then I hope to test them, if I can round up a tele to test them in?
I'm in process of making a vintage white neck pickup, to be used in a white pickguard.
Maybe I can be through with the neck pickup today or tomorrow, just piddling with it.
I'll try to get a pic up here soon.

The bobbins from Mojo are for Strats, and not really for Teles. You don't need them staggered though if they are wide enough.

Note that on this pickup the blades are cut to over hang the top of the flatwork, so they are longer than the slot they are installed in.

It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

I have a Tele blade set made, but Don't have a Tele to put them in right now.
I think the blade alignment thing, will depend on the Tele Bridge used.
If your using the Old fender Ashtray bridge, I think that is the one that will have the problem.
I have a friend with a 72 ash Tele, will have to see if these will fit, and align properly.
