also the problem being here in australia is that there are next to no local suppliers for anything. not for nickel not for copper wire so we have no choice to go abroad very frustrating.

I live about twenty miles from a town that has a few national stores and found it was easier to shop on-line rather than make the drive to be told "we don't have that" or "we can order it for you".
"Selection" I've found is limited for pup winders on-line or not. I'm glad I have much of nothing invested into the hobby. I know where I stand with it now so that's a good thing.

I worked many years off an on at 320 South Main in the Telephone office there in Eldoraro Downtown.
I installed and modified their Digital Phone equipment made by the company I retired from, (Alcatel-Lucent).
Had many friends with the phone company across the country, but most are retired or deceased.
Eat some Spicey Chick-A-Dilly Chicken for me there in Eldorado.

I ate at both of them, but I really liked the chicken at the one east of town.
A lot rougher neighborhood, but I would brave it, because I would drive by there, stayed out at the Hampton on the bypass a lot.
I would go to the Eldo Gun & Pawn & Army Surplus, all the time, avid Hunter, they would order guns at +10%.
