Hi there,
I have been looking around for a good place to get 4-conductor wire for humbuckers. Stewmac just has such high shipping rates... I usually buy my push-back wire from hoffman amplifiers, they have great rates and are great to work with, but don't have 4-conductor. Anyone suggested places? Thanks

Good 4 wire is always expensive, and hard to find.
All Parts, WD Music, wire suppliers would probably have it.

It's harder to find the 28AWG 4 conductor wire, but 24AWG 4C is very common in security system applications and is relatively cheap and easy to find.

Search on EBay for 28AWG 4C

Here's someone selling a suitable wire. Looks like it would be $15 for 10ft delivered to Hawaii

Thanks a lot for the help guys, that sure looks a lot better than the shipping through stewmac I wasnt sure if it would be a problem varying from the 28AWG

Might want to check the diameter of the wire fits through the hole in the Humbucker base plate. I had a batch of 4 Conductor wire that was a very tight fit.

On the wire I found it a few places, but most get around $1.00 or more a foot.
This wire was on a previous post, and you may want to consider it at $.65 a foot.
The thing with it is, instead of black, white, red, green, it is black, white, red, yellow.

Three of Terry's last 4 links all seem to be the same Belden wire except for the Gavitt stuff from WD but they all have foil shields
I just got some really nice 4 C wire from Kent Armstrong that has a braided shield. I wish I knew where that stuff came from.
There's also the 4C wire from Schaller with white, black, green and brown. I imagine it's made in Germany somewhere.
