This winder looks ideal for manual winders that want auto-traverse:
Sinologix Auto Traverse
I'd love to pick one up, but I have one thing holding me back. They claim to be able to handle up to 46 SWG (which is roughly equivalent to 42 AWG, as I understand it)... but, this winder seems to show that the wire would spool off to the side, rather than from the top as you would normally do with such thin wire.
Do any of you think this would actually work, or would the wire just snap? Or is the spool of wire rotated as well as the wire spools off?
Does anyone have experience with this type of winder?
