Need input on materials for a Humbucker rebuild

Hey folks, I want to buy the tape and wire to get started on rewinding my old SD Pearly Gates plus HB and need to ask about wire. I found this at Amazon

If you look in the sticky "Pickup Makers FAQ" at the top of the main pickup board, you'll see Elektrisola wire is on there. I bought this, and a spool of 43, as well. http://www.amazon.com/Magnet-Enamele...FNBP29E5V3YAD9

Go ahead and spend a few more bucks and get the bigger spool. If you're worried about buggering up a coil and wasting a little on the first try (I had to rewind a coil), you'll be glad for the extra few miles of wire.

Jason is right about trying to get a larger spool if you are planning to wind more coils. If your not planning on winding more, just get what was listed on the link. The Stew-Mac tape is good to start.

Make sure you get 42 gauge --- 43 if you want to get more turns on a traditional HB sized bobbin.

I think the Pearly Gates is wound with 42 Plain Enamel. Note sure about the "Plus". I also think the Pearly Gates uses an A2 magnet while the Pearly Gates Plus uses an A5. I'll have to check my notes to confirm.
