I built my own standalone CNC coil winder...a real kludge but it works, then the penny dropped (I'm not the sharpest tool in the box!), that small CNC machine I have in the corner doing nothing, it's actually 75% of a coil winder (with most of the hard work being done for you - the X traverse...always the trickiest/costliest part of any CNC coil winder self build)
Therefore, just mount an extra stepper to your CNC machine with one of these ....

Pop one of these mounting hubs on its shaft...
8mm Nexus Robot Aluminum Wheel Hub
and a wire feed nozzle somehow fitted to your (existing) X axis on your CNC machine (e.g. syringe nozzle or pony up for a proper one Ruby tipped coil winding nozzle (wire guide nozzle) RC0535 2.5 1411-in Electronics Production Machinery from Electronic Components & Supplies on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group)
download gcoil (gcode generator for winding coils) & you're good to go.
Anyway, just a thought....of course you'd need a CNC machine for this to be of any use (fortunately I do), if you don't have a CNC machine, I'll get me coat.
