  • Flat pickup winding jig

My home made flat pickup winding jig.

I just stick it to my winder plate but I can put a screw through it a use it in a drill as well. It is made from perspex with an aluminium channel attached to it and 2 spacers to protect the wire from the clamping screws.

I hope this is of some use.

    regards

Great idea. Is the channel set down into the perspex or double sided taped to it ?

The channel is double sided taped to it with a screw through the center. Just tape won't hold it.

The plate can be made out of any material and it doesn't need to be round, I made mine round because I have a lathe, and I can.

Counter sink the channel and use a long screw to use it with a drill.

In fact if you're gonna use it in a drill you won't even need the plate, just the channel with a long screw through it.

I know it's a little crude, but it works well, however no doubt there are better ideas out there.
