  • New Multi Coil CNC Winder

The same outfit that makes the Mini Coil Winder I have one and love it and coming out with a much more capable machine: http://www.ukcnc.net/index.php/2020/...nder-for-2020/

Looks like a very nice machine, but I hear the price is somewhere in the $4k range. But , if you need to pump out coils, it might just be worth it.

    What do you all think?

Do you have any scripts for the mini? Just picked one up and it seems all the presets just filled the layers according to the wire diameter. The info is pretty lacking on how to even write one, someone on here a while back had some homemade scripts, just looking for something to get me started.

I don't anymore... I think I had a couple I was messing with on an old computer, but nothing now on my new laptop. What I do now to sort of simulate a "scatter" is to set the turns per layer so that the estimated wire diameter is some multiple of whatever gauge I'm using. Not exactly a scatter, but it's also not a perfectly uniform layer.

They do go over the scripting a bit in the software manuals they have here: http://www.ukcnc.net/index.php/downloads/... just make sure you get the right manual for whatever ARM controller version you have.
