      This type magnetzer won't work for ferrite (ceramic) magnets because of core saturation. Size doesn't help here.

      You need a capacitor bank discharge magnetizer for ceramic

        That's a timely posting - I'm in need of a magneto charger and this looks perfect. Could be quite costly to build these days, though.

          something to get for your bookshelf..."Permanent Magnet Design and Application Handbook", 2nd ed by Moskowitz (although the 1st edition is good too). Boatloads of good information. Very cheap on the used book sites.....

            ^^^That book is a great resource and a reference standard for magnet data.

            Bought mine new some years ago. Very expensive but worth it.
