Way Huge - Russian-Pickle Pedal Regulator IC

Hello folks,
I have this Russian-Pickle that has a SMD 5 lead 5V regulator that I'm having trouble identifying. The original IC has markings of '3Y-N2N' and as best I can determine is a pkg SOT-353-5. Nothing comes up in a search. Perhaps there are some standard prefix letters that I'm not familiar with.
I tried a 757-TAR5S50UTE85LF from Mouser that has a spec of 'LDO Voltage Regulators Point Reg SGL output 200mA 15V 5V out', which apparently is not enough current and also burned up. I don't beleive the pedal is drawing too much current from the regulator. There were 2 reverse polarity protection diodes that I initially replaced.
I'm just not familiar enough to know how to search out a version of this reg IC that would be a higher current.
Can anyone have some suggestions? Thanx, Glen

With that package type you are limited.
Here is an adjustable version good for 600ma.

If I recall from when the pedal was last in (it's fortunately a store stock item), the SOT-353-5 pkg was just slightly smaller than what was in there originally, but I was able to catch the edges of the pcb pads.
Trying to measure the current by injecting 5V externally would be a bit of an effort. I'm honestly at the edge of just condemning it to the junk pile, esp given the relative value to time spent on this pedal. Also I have to consider if there erally is anything else that is causing the IC to blow, this pedal is definitely not worth pursuing.
I appreciate the info on the reg IC. I may give it a try and then just toss the damned thang!

I just noticed that the IC you're suggesing is an adjustable one. Perhaps the original is, too. I have a chart that lists part # configurations for the smaller SMD parts to aid in identifying them. I've never found the code for whatever component I'm looking for on those charts!

HMM.
At this stage, I really don't recall how I came to that conclusion. I suppose if I decide to actually repair the thing, I'll have to look into that. I agree that 3.3V would make more sense than 5V!
