  • Wurlitzer 200A whooshing noise

    Hi all.
I'm working on a Wurlitzer 200A electric piano, it has a whooshing noise in the background as a note is played,
decaying along with the note and fizzing slightly as it finally dies.
I assume this is not normal
I can't see anything distinct on a 'scope either pre- or post-amp.
Some sort of intermodulation noise? That would imply that something is bursting into oscillation.
    TIA.

The 200A amp boards are notorious for bad caps.

Might be crossover distortion caused by a faulty transistor.
