ipod nano 3rd generation 8 gb busted

I got an Ipod nano as listed in the title.It turns on and charges perfectly but the click wheel wont work. It turns on and the screen is ok. Does anyone know whats wrong. i put a new click wheel and it still wont work. could anyone help. I could get picks upon request.

If the new click wheel didn't work, you have either a broken hold switch
(padlock shows in corner when hold off) or a bad board/connector. Check all the internal connections again. Get a couple broken ones to snag parts from. You most likely need a new mainboard, but it could be something like a connector or broken hold switch. Are you sure the new clickwheel (props on installation, they aren't the easiest ipods to work on) works for sure?

I know its not the hold switch but it might be the connectors. I am going to get some busted ipods from some friends and i might get some parts and make it work.
