Tektronix 464 or 465?

Well, what is the nice scope, 464 or 465? Thought one was way better than the other due to transistors being proprietary to tektronix.

I'm not familiar with the 464, but the 465B is a very nice scope. You might also consider a 453 or 453A. They dont have any custom Tek chips like some of the later models. Very dependable scopes.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I shall carry on my search then. I found some cheap 464, but not cheap enough thta i'd jum in straight away. I have an old 564B But it's flakey. Traces are not that stable, and one disapears sometimes.
